Family Water Session / Birmingham Photographer

I doubt the first thing that comes to mind when you think of an October family session is an October Family Water Session, but sometimes you just have to think outside the box! I was a little surprised, I have to say, that we made it work. October weather in Alabama is unpredictable. I seriously think when I was a kid, it was cool. I remember cool nights for sure, but days too with sweaters. Now, many October days are just as warm as the month before, however, that wasn’t the case for our October water session. I was so happy with how it turned out though. The kids were happy; the parents were into it; and the water was tolerable. The kiddos splashed and waded around happily, and many photographs were made. I’d say this Family Water Session was a success!  We photographed in the same little creek that I used for most of my water portrait series in 2017, which you can see here.
