For roughly ten years I’ve thought about a 365 Daily Photo Project, but I was afraid of the commitment. It’s a huge personal responsibility to remember to document every single day. I mean, it’s not huge like, “Did I remember to feed the children?” but it felt burdensome on occasion. Overall though, it was really easier than I expected like most things that we imagine to be daunting. There were certainly days that I forgot until right before I fell asleep; and if I’m being totally honest, there were two mornings that I awoke frustrated because I didn’t take a photo the previous day so I used one from a recent date to fill the gap. There were times that I didn’t have my camera and I used my phone. It’s funny how not one of those made it into my group of favorites for this blog post. (Our phones are great in a pinch, but they’re no substitute for a good camera.) There are so many images that make me smile and I’m thankful for this project.Â
In the end…and I have reached the end…I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone that allowed me to share part of their lives-my family specifically. I love this project, and who knows? Maybe I’ll tackle another year sometime. For now though, I’m busily creating an album of all the images! And here I sit on the first day of the new year, not having taken a photo today and it feels really, really weird.
I love documenting everyday life and I hope to do more At-Home Sessions in 2019. If you’re interested in a lifestyle photo session, let’s connect!
So good, beautiful…should be a book! Yer Sally Mannish to me! Just lovely and strong!
Ooooh, that’s one of the best compliments you could have possible give me, Tracy! Sally Mann is a favorite of mine. Thank you!

I appreciate your compliment! It was such a labor of love and I’m so happy it’s complete. 🙂
Love love all of these and I love that you did them in black and white, such a great vibe. Beautiful images
Thank you so much! I knew there would be so many different environments and lighting scenarios, AND I really love black-and-white. I appreciate your compliments!

These are incredible-so raw and authentic and I love your black and white conversions .
Thank you so much! I feel at home in black-and-white. The goal was to be unposed, but it didn’t always turn out that way.
These are so great. I love doing 365’s but it can be hard some days to get that camera out when life can be so overwhelmingly busy.
True! Some days the last thing you want to do is document the chaos. Thank you for your compliment!
365 projects are so hard, I have always managed to get to the 90 days mark and then dropped off … what a great series of images!
Oh, I agree. This was the first one I’ve ever done and it was a challenge some days. Thank you for taking a look!
wow, you’re going to cherish these forever, so beautiful! Wish I could get past the first week when I try this LOL
I sure hope so. I love them; and not all are artistic or well-composed, but they’re my people and that matters most. Thank you for taking a look!
Love these in black and white!!

Thank you, Monica! I got my start in black-and-white film photography so it just felt right.
