Birmingham Engagement Photography / Awbrey and Ross

FILED IN: Couples

These two are a breath of fresh air! Seriously. Spending time with them is like opening a window in a stuffy room. They are happy-happy to be together, happy to be photographed, just happy to be. It was really fun photographing their Birmingham engagement session! We all laughed and enjoyed each other’s company, which makes me really excited about their upcoming wedding! I can’t believe it’s October already and they’ll be married in just a few days! I’m honored they asked me to photograph one of the most important days of their lives.

We met at The Essential on Morris Avenue. Starting a couple’s session in a relaxed fashion, such as having a cup of coffee has proven to be a wonderful way to break the ice between camera and subject. We later walked around Morris Avenue and inevitably ended up at the wonderful color mural by Redpath Creative. And since we were planning to spend two hours together to create their Birmingham Engagement Photography, we chose to spend half the time among the cityscape backdrop of Birmingham and the second half in a natural setting very close by. This is one of the reasons I love a full two hour photo session; splitting the session between an urban setting and a natural one provides so much variety in the images. Awbrey and Ross were such fun! I can’t wait to share their wedding day with you!
