Like most photographers, I have a Frequently Asked Questions section on my website that includes many items of interest. Let me condense that list a little for you. These are my top 10 portrait client questions.
- Where will we photograph?
- I offer on-location and at-home sessions to everyone: individuals, couples, and families. An on-location session is held at a public space. An at-home session is at your home.
- I offer studio sessions to individuals and couples.
- Do you have a studio?
- I am primarily an outdoor photographer.
- A studio can however, be rented.
- What time of day will we meet?
- Since I photograph outdoors most of the time, the time of day is very important. We will usually meet during the first two hours or last two hours of light. They are optimal for creating the best photographs!
- Will you help me choose a location?
- Yes! I want to help you choose a location because it benefits your photographs for me to either have had experience photographing there or at least to have seen to the location.
- I will send you suggestions to consider.
- If you choose to have an at-home photoshoot, I’ll ask for simple phone pics taken during the time we plan to photograph of your home.
- Is there time for a clothing change during my photoshoot?
- If you choose to book two hours with me, there will be time for up to two clothing changes.
- May I include my extended family?
- Of course! As long as it’s discussed in our planning process, I’m happy for you to include grandparents, aunts, cousins, etc.
- How many photos will we see in our gallery?
- The number of images produced during a photoshoot depends on a few factors. One, the length of the shoot; two, whether there are clothing changes and how many; three, if we photograph in one or two locations.
- Most one-hour sessions will result in a minimum of 100 images.
- Most two-hour sessions will result in a minimum of 150 images. (Traveling between locations and clothing changes affect the number of images.)
- When will we see our photos?
- It takes approximately two weeks to see your photos during winter and summer months. It may take up to three weeks to see them during the spring and fall months since those are my busiest.
- Are there any pricing specials?
- Return clients receive a Grateful Gift, which is $50 off the collection total. This practice has been in place for a decade and will go on indefinitely!
- Do you offer prints or albums?
- Yes! There will be a store attached to your gallery. You may purchase printed images on photographic paper, canvas, and even metal! You may also order albums and greeting cards.
