What does it mean to be a woman in 2019?
It means that although we are tired, we are also so very strong.
We are teaching,
passing on stories of success,
sharing our fears and our achievements,
and not being satisfied with archaic ideas.
We are striving to improve ourselves as well as our world, hoping that our daughters and sons take notice.
We are conquering what once seemed insurmountable.
We are lifting each other up in many loving ways.
We are women and we are a remarkable force.
I find working with women satisfies me in a way that few things do. I hope the exchanges I’ve had through photography with women have been soul fueling experiences for my subjects. Empowering women through photography is energizing!
