Bang Images portrait sessions are open to individuals, couples, and families. Portrait sessions are with one photographer, Jennifer Alsabrook-Turner. I’m Jennifer and I’ve been a photographer for four decades if you include the years I photographed with a point-and-shoot in high school. If you’d like to start the proverbial clock with my first photography class, it’s still been thirty years! Taking it a step further, Bang Images was founded in 2015, so I’ve been photographing professionally for ten years. I’ve always loved documenting memories, and people are my primary focus.

The Quote
When you reach out to Bang Images with an email to request a quote, I’ll respond with pricing information and a few questions to initiate planning your session. You’ll be asked to choose a package designating one or two hours and the number of digital files you’d like to purchase.

Location
Most settings can be compartmentalized into two genres-natural and city. In special situations, a location may offer a little of both. Rotary Trail for example, is located in Downtown Birmingham so you can see tall buildings in the distance and on the street parallel to the trail. The trail itself during certain times of the year, is full of lush greenery and gorgeous, colorful flowers.

Time
While planning your session, in addition to choosing a location, we’ll decide which time of day is better, early morning or late afternoon during the last two hour of sunlight. Our starting time in the afternoon will depend on the time of year and sunset. I choose to photograph during the most optimal light-not too harsh and very flattering. It’s easy to think golden hour sessions are my absolute favorite, but the real truth is, my favorite sessions are whenever we have the best light. Some locations are better during the morning and others are perfect for those dreamy sunset sessions.

Session Length
Portrait sessions are either one or two hours in length. A one-hour session with Bang Images is with one photographer and takes place in one location. A two-hour session is also with one photographer, but you’ll have the option of a second location and up to two clothing changes. Because the two-hour session includes enough time to photograph in a second location, you may want to utilize a variety of settings. Sometimes we’ll photograph in a city setting and a natural one. And if you want a second outfit, I have a pop-up changing tent if we’re not near a restroom. Our time together includes the drive-time between locations and the time it takes to change clothes, so be aware. You’ll have more time for photos if our locations are close together or if you only change clothes once versus twice.

Packages
Decisions will be made about the length of your session, location, date and time, and finally the package you’d like. There are six packages. There are three one-hour packages and three two-hour packages. They include either 10, 20 or all edited high-resolution images from your session.
