Client Appreciation Post | Pantazis Portraits | Bang Images

At-home Session

I wouldn’t describe myself as a prideful person, but one thing I do feel really good about is having clients whom I’ve photographed multiple times. I have photographed the Pantazis family since 2021. This is a client appreciation post because I’m so very grateful for their continued interest and support.

We started with an at-home session and had so much fun during it that we scheduled another the year after. There’s nothing quite like the intimacy you feel in your own home. Documenting your space-the place you raise your children and form innumerable core memories in is pretty special.

You may see a full blog post dedicated to their first at-home session here.

A Second At-home Session

One reason I call them “at-home” sessions instead of “in-home” sessions is because I want clients to realize these portraits can take place indoors or out. I’ve photographed solely in someone’s backyard without ever stepping foot inside and vice versa; but usually we divide our time equally.

The second at-home session was during the month of October, their favorite month. You can see the foliage just beginning to turn in their backyard setting.

If you know my work at all, you know we scheduled our family session so we’d photograph during golden hour.

You’ll never hear me ask you to all pose, smile at the camera, and say, “Cheeeeese.” You may hear me ask you to all gather together and make some sort of physical connection. Whether you look at me or not is completely up to you. I love the mix of expressions and levels of awareness of the camera.

Moss Rock Nature Preserve

For our third family session we decided to venture out into the world. Moss Rock Nature Preserve is a great place for exploring. It’s also a nice setting for a family session if you’re the type of family that would rather be documented than posed.

This photograph is one of my all-time favorite family portraits. I love the contrast of Dad’s straightforward expression to his children’s silly ones. I’m a sucker for leading lines too, so the fact that the railing frames them and points toward them in the center of the composition is chef’s kiss!

Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Our most recent family session was at one of the most beautiful locations in Birmingham, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

It’s been so much fun watching their children grow and become more aware, while keeping their sense of wonder and silliness.

I am really looking forward to my next family session with the Pantazises! We’ve already scheduled one for this fall. I can’t wait to see where we’ll end up!

I’m one grateful photographer! Established Bang Images clients receive a Grateful Gift when booking a session with me. So if you’ve had one session with me, perhaps it’s time to schedule your second. And if we haven’t met, I hope you’ll find it encouraging that over half my work is with established, return clients. Please reach out for your portrait session.

I hope you’ll check in for more client appreciation posts! I’m so, so grateful for my clients.
