Birmingham Wedding at Vulcan Park | Bang Images

FILED IN: Couples

You should have exactly what you want (or as close to it as possible) on your wedding day. If that means a twelve-hour day with twenty-six wedding party attendants; a three foot, five-tiered cake, three hundred guests, and a nine-piece band, then please, by all means, make that happen! But if you have little need for an extravagant affair and would rather be surrounded by your closest friends and family, you might be more interested in a Micro Wedding. Please scroll ahead to see many photos from this lovely Birmingham wedding. We celebrated the Baers uniting their families at Vulcan Park and Museum!

We had absolutely perfect weather for their wedding day and a beautiful venue overlooking the city of Birmingham. I’m sure you couldn’t ask for more.

We set aside plenty of time for posed portraits and candid images. I especially love this rather relaxed family portrait.

My goal is to provide a documentary approach with posed portraits peppered in. Not everyone wants them. Sometimes the entire wedding day is documentary or photojournalistic, but most of my couples ask for a handful of posed portraits and I’m happy to accommodate.

The happy couple and their guests danced quite a lot, which gave me so much to photograph. I love a lively reception!

Vulcan Park and Museum provided a lovely outdoor space for the ceremony and reception. With a great team, it took little time to flip it. They really made this Birmingham wedding fun and easy.

The Baers hired me for their Micro Wedding and really packed in a lot of love and excitement! I’m very grateful to have worked with them on more than one occasion, but especially on such a special day.

I photographed my first wedding on film in 2000. It wasn’t long after that I switched to digital. I’ve been at this a while. I hope you’ll reach out if you’d like an experienced wedding photographer with a “fly on the wall” approach who captures all the exciting, real, and touching moments that you’ll want to remember. Please see my Weddings gallery for more photo examples.
